Over five years spent serving his country during WW2. Captured at the fall of Singapore, forced to work on jungle railways and bridges, sunk on a Japanese slave labour ship, imprisoned near Nagasaki, experienced the ‘Big Boy’ nuclear blast, finally returning home to pick up life’s pieces.
